The CARP Heavy Duty live center (10-piece set) is developed for heavy-duty work, yet perfectly suited for small turning projects. Thanks to its robust construction and clever accessories, this live center is suitable for fine precision work as well as heavy, large workpieces. Virtually anything can be mounted with this live center.
Powerful and clever construction
The core of the live center features double bearings for smooth, long-term stability, even under heavy loads. The Morse Taper cone and outer casing are manufactured from a single piece, ensuring a solid construction.
M33 thread – extra possibilities
A unique feature of this center is the M33 x 3.5 mm thread. This allows you to easily screw on a chuck, making it ideal for reversing or re-clamping workpieces without losing alignment. A total of 6 different live center tips are included.
Versatile mounting options
- The live center comes with various attachments:
- Standard center point with pressure ring – for general use.
- 6 mm and 10 mm point – for clamping into smaller drilled holes.
- Two conical attachments – a standard and a heavy-duty version, suitable for holes up to 52 mm.
- Ø 58 mm attachment – perfect for mounting spheres or automatically centering square timber.
- identical steb center and steb live center ability to mount a chuck onto the live center via the M33 x 3.5 DIN 800 thread.
Completely equipped
The live center comes complete with a knockout bar and a large open-ended spanner, ensuring fast and easy accessory changes.
