A serious upgrade for those who refuse to compromise when it comes to stability, ergonomics and vibration-free turning. This heavy-duty steel stand has been specifically developed for the CARP 2432 MEGA, but can also be used with the CARP 1624, 1824 Classic and CARP 2032 XL.
Extremely Rigid Construction
The legs are manufactured from no less than 6 mm thick steel and are connected at the top by a massive 10 mm thick steel centre plate. This heavy-duty construction creates an exceptionally rigid foundation.
- The solid steel construction absorbs vibrations noticeably better than a cast iron stand.
- A smoother-running lathe means cleaner cuts and greater control.
- The total weight is considerably higher than that of cast iron alternatives.
Larger Footprint = More Stability
The legs have a wider stance (larger footprint) than standard cast iron legs. This means:
- Increased lateral stability.
- As the stand height is increased, the footprint becomes proportionally wider.
- Greater confidence when turning large, heavy and unbalanced workpieces.
