Ebonising Lacquer
Ebonising Lacquer is a hard matte black lacquer that leaves the wood structure visible. When dry it has the soft silken sheen and complexion of ebony, hence "ebonising". The paint is dry in 5 minutes, hard after 20 minutes and ready to apply a layer of wax (or other additional finish) after about 24 hours. For the best effect with this polish, first use a sanding sealer. Although there is a lot of pigment in this varnish, it is still not paint, which is why the grain of the wood remains beautifully visible. If you want a higher shine on your ebonising lacker, use a friction polish. The lacquer is water-based and comes in a 400ml spray can.
Consumption
approximately 2-4 m2 per spray can
Use
Spray several thin layers for the best result. Adheres to any sanding sealer, but also to untreated dry wood. Can also be used outdoors.
Tips
Cover what should not be touched. The vapor from this paint is also black... :-)
Security
Avoid breathing the vapor and use it in a well-ventilated area.
