Japanese Ryoba saw - Suizan SR 001
Ryoba Japanese pull saw – 24 cm
This versatile Japanese Ryoba pull saw has a 24 cm blade that is only half a millimetre thick, with different teeth on each side. One side is intended for rip cuts, cutting along the grain of the wood. The other side is used for fine and accurate cuts across the grain.
Thanks to the combination of two different tooth patterns, the Ryoba is suitable for a wide range of tasks, including cutting wood to length, making joints and general fine woodworking. The long handle provides excellent control and allows the saw to be guided accurately.
Japanese saw
Unlike a traditional European handsaw, a Japanese saw cuts on the pull stroke. This allows the blade to be made thinner and requires less effort. The result is a narrow, clean cut with minimal material loss.
